No matter what you do, if you don’t follow these basic rules and strategies, your affiliate promotion campaigns will fail, one after the other or if your campaigns are not already performing well, this article is about to change that.
In this article, you’ll learn the correct way to promote affiliate links for free, and ways to scale and automate this free method.
Two of the biggest challenges in promoting affiliate links using free traffic and free strategies are scalability and automation, and in this article/video, you’ll learn to overcome both of these challenges in no time.
Think about paid traffic for a moment…what makes it attractive? It’s scalable, meaning that you can simply spend more money to drive more traffic.
It’s also automated, so you don’t have to do much work after you set it up.
Another benefit that I did not mention above, is the fact that it doesn’t take too much of your time. You don’t have to be in front of a computer, writing, or posting constantly to generate traffic.
but what if we could solve all of those with free traffic sources?
Well, let’s get started by watching this very important and detailed training video:
Ok, now that you’re done watching the video, let’s get into details.
I want to talk about your campaigns, and the most effective way to set up an affiliate campaign, or the elements that you MUST HAVE in every single one of the promotion campaigns you setup.
Then, we’ll talk about traffic and everything in it.
Let’s get into every single important element of your affiliate promotion campaign.
Step #1: Create a Presell Page
You should almost never send traffic directly to your affiliate link unless there is no other option (for example when you’re using Aversity ads as an Aversity partner).
Sending direct traffic to an affiliate link is always a waste of money and time.
Instead, you should send them to a page where you capture a lead, and then send them to a presell page to get them ready to purchase the product.
A presell page will get someone ready to purchase a product. It’s always a good idea to send people to a presell page to avoid looking too pushy.
A presell page can be almost anything. It can be a simple article that provides value and then sends them to your affiliate link, or a useful video, or a mix of both.
You can create your presell page on a website like medium.com or create your own website, and build your own presell page, and control every aspect of your page (this is what I recommend)
How to Create Your Own Website and Landing Pages
Creating a website is easy. All you need is a hosting platform and a domain. You can get both of them at a special discount here (for Aversity members and readers)
Then, all you need is to install WordPress (explained here) and get started. This whole process takes less than 10 minutes and you don’t need to be a tech genius to make it happen.
After that, all you need is a page builder plugin for WordPress which we recommend Thrive Architect, for its affordable one-time payment price, and ease of use.
And there you have it, a simple website, with a powerful page builder to build any type of page you’d like on your website, from opt-in pages to presell and full sales pages.
Step #2: Provide a Bonus
Providing a bonus is the key to your success. It helps you stand out and look more invested in the product you’re promoting, which creates more trust in you and your content.
It’s a circle that will elevate your business to places you cannot believe.
For example, on Aversity, we provide bonuses with almost any program that we sell. Our most popular program, the Gold Masterclass, wouldn’t be word’s most popular affiliate training course if we wouldn’t provide almost $600 worth of bonus courses.
It’s estimated that half of the Gold Masterclass sales to this day (about 9 million dollars) are because of the bonuses we provide.
This is also possible on a smaller scale, for example, your affiliate campaign.
This is all good, but you don’t have the time to create an entire course, or research the perfect eBook to create a bonus course, so what are you supposed to do?
Well, here are a couple of simple solutions to creating bonuses:
Mixing Well Researched Articles
A great way to create a bonus PDF for your affiliate campaign is by mixing a couple of well-written articles into one.
I recommend choosing 2 or 3 long and detailed articles, like this one, into one. If there’s a video, put an image and link it to the video.
The keyword here is detailed, so make sure you find articles that are useful, and explain in detail about a specific subject.
Also, don’t forget to mention the sources at the end of your PDF file.
If you’re looking for an easier way, and a better way to find bonus content for your affiliate campaign, I recommend PLRs.
PLRs stands for Private Label Rights and these are packages of content such as articles, and videos that you can license by simply purchasing them. After the purchase, the content belongs to you and you can use it any way you’d like.
You can provide it as a free bonus, or sell it for profit.
You can purchase high-quality and affordable PLRs on Aversity’s PLR market.
Step #3: Free Traffic
Now that you got the basics of your affiliate campaign down, it’s time to drive traffic and make money!
For free traffic, I’m going to recommend 2 methods: Pinterest, and YouTube. Let’s talk about each one in detail.
Pinterest Free Traffic:
Pinterest is one of the easiest ways to drive targeted free traffic to your affiliate campaigns. It takes time to build and develop to a point that it makes you money consistently, but it’ll worth it, especially since it can be automated.
First, you’ll need a Pinterest account.
Then, you’ll need to create a Canva.com account. We’re going to use this tool to create our Pinterest images.
and finally, you’re going to need a Buffer account to automate your Pinterest posts. This way, you don’t have to be in front of a computer all the time to post your content.
Now that you got the tools, let’s start using them.
First, Click the Pinterest Pin on Canva. If you can’t find it, just search it using the top search bar.
Then, choose a template from the sidebar of the new page that opens:
Create your image by editing the elements, texts, and colors. And then download it using the icon at the top right side:
I recommend saving it in PNG for maximum quality.
Then, take this image to your Pinterest account.
Create a board if you haven’t already. You can think of a board as a category. So give it a name, and create your first board.
Then, click the plus icon and choose Pin:
and finally, upload your image, add your title, description (a detailed one with keywords), URL and a board:
Hit “publish” and just like that, your first Pin is out!
but there’s a big problem with this: it’s hard to do this every hour or every day!
To make Pinterest work, you’ll need to do this, at least 4 times a day, and since you have other important things going on in your life, it would be hard to keep up a schedule…
so what’s the solution? Automation!
Using Buffer, you can automate this progress. Create 10 pins and posts all at once, and have them publish automatically, so you only work on this, once every 3 or 4 days!
To end the Pinterest section, I want to tell you this: Keep in mind that Pinterest is a search engine. Pinterest posts live longer than FB or Instagram and show in the search engine results, so it’s important to have good keywords and a catchy image.
I recommend running a search on Pinterest for the keyword you’re trying to target and take a look at the top results and learn from their images and format.
YouTube Free Traffic:
Generating traffic from YouTube is much more complex, yet easier to actually implement.
The idea with YouTube is simple: You just need the right video.
There are dozens of different ways to create a YouTube video, but for sake of simplicity, we’re going to talk about one tool: Powtoon.
This tool allows you to create animation or slideshow videos in minutes. It’s free to start and you can get a lot out of the free trial period.
Simply upload it to YouTube with a great thumbnail, which can be created using Canva and add your link to the description.
I recommend creating at least a video a day for the first 3o days to generate some impressions on your channel.
Additionally, you can also use Canva itself to create slideshow videos. It got all of the tools you need, such as templates, stock videos, text and etc…
To end this article, I’m going to leave you with an important note:
One of the secrets of success is automation and basically having a hands-off business. After making some money with your business, I recommend hiring someone and paying them to manage everything for you, instead of doing it yourself.
This will save you time, and eventually, money and will free up your time to focus on bigger things.
